While it is a nice place for vacations, it is very difficult to just do simple things like go to the beach and enjoy a coconut. It is also very hard to get around unless you rent a car which is also very expensive. The entrance to go and visit Cenotes and beaches will cost you over $20 per person and this does not even include parking, food or drinks. You also even have to pay to bring your GoPro or camera which is something we have never seen before in any country or tourist destination. For these reasons Mexico from our experience is not a good destination for digital nomads. ? ?‍?
