When deciding to go to Pakistan or not, I was searching about safety for women in Pakistan. What I found led me to Northern Pakistan and honestly I’m so glad I went! As a woman, my experience will be different from a male’s perspective. But for me, I had such a good time! Northern Pakistan sees adventure tourists, extreme hikers, paragliders, etc.. so they are used to tourists. I would hire a local hiking guide if you’re planning some longer hikes, like rush lake or other multi day hikes.
