Comment “Venice” and I’ll send you a link to some excursions for these places! Here are some extra tips: Traghettos are fun to take and very inexpensive at 2 Euro. Keep your eyes open for crossings of the Grand Canal! You can get to some of the islands by Vaparetto! It’s really the best way to travel around (and least expensive overall). Really, don’t fear about getting lost! There are so many bridges and small alleyways but it is so safe and they all end up on the Grand Canal. Then you will just need to find a vaporetto to take you where you need to go! Rialto bridge is famous for the markets and movies BUT it is also extremely busy and probably one of the best places to be pick-pocketed. Keep an eye on your belongings and watch for people who are trying to hand you their merchandise (flowers, bracelets etc). If you go to Doge’s Palace & San Marco Basilica, get tickets for the morning to avoid some of the crowds and remember to cover your knees and shoulders to be able to enter (nor shorts or short skirts)! There may be areas you can walk down to the water but don’t put your feet in or touch it. It’s very dirty, but feel free to drink from any of the fountains in the streets. It is all clean, and you will find them often in squares. Have fun in Venice! Get a map from the bus terminal or vaporetto to help you navigate, but it is such an easy city to walk around in! #whattodoinvenice #veniceonabudget #thingstodoinvenice #veniceattractions #top10invenice
