Total Body Conditioning & Fat Burning Workout In this workout you will learn how to warm up the body through dynamic stretching. These stretches are held for only a few seconds to gradually increase the heart rate and take the joints through a full range of motion. You will learn the importance of correct breathing from the diaphragm and how to better engage the core musculature and postural muscles. The warm up and the strength training routine will enhance coordination, motor skills, and balance. Certified personal trainers, Erin and Lauren, emphasize the importance of stabilization in each part of the body. This phase of weight bearing/resistance training aids in building muscular endurance, due to the amount of repetitions completed with a manageable weight load. Power moves such as jumping jacks and squat jumps are also incorporated to challenge the central nervous system and spike the heart rate for small increments of time. Remember these four points in your exercise journey: Regularity, Briskness, Variety and FUN! Modest Workout Clothing https://www.koshercasual.com/?afid=391 https://modli.co/activewear.html This Breakfast Banana recipe is from Country Life Vegetarian Cookbook pg. 13 https://www.amazon.com/Country-Life-Vegetarian-Cookbook-Restaurants/dp/1878726005/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Country+Life+Vegetarian+Cookbook&qid=1586404083&sr=8-1 Using an ice cream scoop, place 3 mounds of a cooked cereal like (millet or quinoa or oatmeal etc..) into a banana split dish or bowl. Cut one peeled banana lengthwise and dip into unsweetened pineapple juice. Place each half on either side of cereal mounds. Top the mounds with thickened fruit toppings such as strawberry or blueberry. You may add Soy Whipped Cream ( see recipe below) to your mounds. Each mound can then be sprinkled with seeds and/or chopped nuts. A delightful way to teach children to enjoy whole grain cereals. To make Millet: 1 cup millet (washed) Add 4 cups water Place water in a sauce pan and bring to boil. While waiting for the water to boil place grain in a bowl, fill with warm water, stir with hands and strain through a fine mesh strainer. Do this until water comes out clear, maybe 2-4 times. When water has come to a boil, put the washed grain in the boiling water, add 1/2 tsp of salt and bring to a boil once again. Once it has come into a boil lower to low setting then place the lid on pot and leave closed for 45 minute or until 1 hour. To make Quinoa: 1 cup quinoa (washed) Add 1 1/2 cups of water See directions for Millet on how to cook the Quinoa. To make Soy Whipped Cream: pg. 60 in cookbook 3/4 cup organic Soy Milk 2 Tbs. honey 1/4-1/2 tsp vanilla pinch of salt 3/4 cup olive oil 1/8-1/4 tsp lemon juice Blend first four ingredients on high for 5-10 seconds. Slowly dribble in oil, blending for an additional full minute after all the oil has been added. Stop blender and fold in lemon juice. Put into covered container and chill. Yield: 2 Cups. Variations: 1) Carob cream: Add 2-3 Tsp. carob powder to first four ingredients. 2) Strawberry or blueberry cream: when cream is finished, fold in strawberry or blueberry topping until desired color is attained.
