Here I discuss why traditional marriage is going obsolete. From abysmal divorce rates to rampant infidelity, I dive into the unpleasant statistics behind getting married and why it’s a losing bet for both men and women. Next, I go into the history of monogamy within human civilization, and the history of our species, and how our biology is wired to reject monogamy which is a new and recent construct for our species. Finally, I give my suggestions on what alternative paradigms could replace modern marriage as the conditions that led to traditional marriage are no longer relevant but our culture hasn’t caught up and adapted to these changes yet.
